Frequently asked questions
How do I restore my purchase?
Sign in with the store account you used to buy lifetime access, then tap Settings > Restore purchases. You can also find “Restore purchases” on the purchase screen. On iPhone, this also finds your free trial, and the trial is counted from the day you first started it.
When does the free trial start?
Not when you install or first open the app. The first time you tap a Pro feature, the purchase screen opens; tap “Try free for 14 days” and you can use Pro features from that day until the end of day 14. You can see how many days are left under Access in Settings.
What happens when the free trial ends?
The trial ends by itself and you won't be charged. To keep using Pro features, buy lifetime access once. Without it, today's amount, logging, history, notifications, backup and restore, and this period's report keep working, and your entries and set-aside money are never deleted or locked.
Which features are Pro?
“Can I buy this?”, setting aside new money, past pay period reports and comparison, CSV export, and carrying leftover money into the next pay period. In Monthly budget, these appear as past months' reports and comparison, and carrying leftover budget into next month.
How do I back up or export my records?
In Settings > Backup & restore, tap “Create a full backup file”. The share sheet opens so you can save it to Files, a cloud drive or anywhere you like. To open your entries in a spreadsheet, use “Export history as CSV” (a Pro feature).
What happens to my records if I switch devices?
Your records don't move to a new device automatically. Create a backup file on your old device, install the app on the new one, finish the first setup, then tap “Restore from a backup file” in Settings > Backup & restore. Restore lifetime access with “Restore purchases” using the same store account.
I'm not getting notifications.
The morning notification (how much you can spend today) and the evening notification (once, if nothing's logged that day) are off at first. Turn them on in Settings > Notifications.
- Check that notifications for this app are allowed in your device settings.
- Check that they're turned on in the app's Settings > Notifications.
- Do Not Disturb or Focus, Low Power Mode and battery optimization can delay or hide notifications.
- Notifications are rescheduled when you open the app. If you changed time zones or haven't opened the app for a while, open it once.
How do I delete my records?
To delete a single entry, open it in the History tab. Settings > Delete all data removes the plan, entries, set-aside money and scheduled notifications on this device and takes you back to the start screen. Deleted records can't be recovered, so back up first if you need them. Your lifetime access and free trial information isn't removed.
Are my records sent to a server?
No. Your records are stored only on this device, and the app doesn't send them to our servers or anywhere else. You don't need an account.
