Terms of Use
The service
Spend Today is a budgeting tool that calculates how much you can spend today until your next payday (or next budget start day), based on the income, bills and savings goal (or monthly budget) and the spending you enter.
Pricing and purchases
- The app is free to download. Today's amount, logging spending and income, history (calendar and list), notifications, backup and restore, Delete all data and this period's report are always free.
- “Can I buy this?”, setting aside new money, past pay period reports and comparison, CSV export, and carrying leftover money into the next pay period are Pro features (in Monthly budget: past months' reports and comparison, and carrying leftover budget into next month). You can use them during the 14-day free trial or with lifetime access.
- Lifetime access is a one-time purchase that keeps Pro features open after the trial.
- Whether or not you pay, entries and set-aside money you've already made are never deleted or locked. Money set aside and carry-over choices made during the trial keep counting after it ends.
Free trial
- The trial doesn't start when you install or first open the app. It starts on the day you tap “Try free for 14 days” on the purchase screen, which opens the first time you tap a Pro feature.
- Counting the start day as day 1, it ends by itself at the end of day 14 in your device's time zone, and you won't be charged. From two days before it ends, the Today screen shows the end date.
- On iPhone and iPad, the trial is a free (price 0) App Store item, so the store's confirmation sheet appears. With the same Apple Account, it ends based on the day you first started it, even after reinstalling or on another device. On Android, it starts on this device the moment you tap.
- After the trial ends, the purchase screen offers only lifetime access.
Payment, refunds and restoring purchases
- Payment is made through your App Store or Google Play account. The price is the local price the store shows on the purchase screen.
- For App Store purchases, you can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, request one from your Google Play order history or contact us. Refunds follow each store's policies.
- If you reinstall the app or switch devices, tap “Restore purchases” with the same store account to get your purchase back. Purchases don't transfer between the App Store and Google Play.
Keeping your records
Your records are stored only on this device, and there's no copy on our servers. They can be lost if your device is lost or damaged, or if you delete or reset the app, and we can't recover them. Keep important records separately using the app's export or backup options.
Please note
The amounts Spend Today shows are estimates calculated from the numbers you enter. They aren't financial, investment or tax advice, and they may differ from your actual account balance.
Acceptable use
Please don't use the app to infringe other people's rights or to break the law.
